le=”text-align: justify; “>In its April 20 issue, the Zhoghovurd newspaper reported that the businessman MP Samvel Alexanyan, and Head of the Malatya-Sebastya community David Ohanyan were bribing voters in School 90.
On the basis of the article, Nikol Pashinyan, a parliamentary candidate from the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC), applied to the election commission of the 7th district for invalidating Alexanyan’s registration.
On April 24, Alexanyan got in touch with the newspaper and stated his intention to sue it.
“You are libeling me. Why did you write I was bribing voters? Nothing of the kind! Publish a retraction!” Alexanyan demanded.
The newspaper, however, is expecting Alexanyan to lodge a claim.
