PAP leader not to have contestants in single-member district

The leader of the coalition Prosperous Armenia party (PAP), Gagik Tsarukyan does not have contenders in the majority constituency where he has filed his candidacy for parliament.

Speaking to Tert.am, the chairman of the electoral district, Sirak Mesropyan, said that the other candidate who wanted contest election from the same electoral district has quit the campaign.

“On April 5 this year, non-partisan candidate Armen Avdalyan submitted a withdrawal notice, pulling out of the election race,” he said, adding that the district electoral commission has already accepted the notice.

Tsarukyan is running for parliament from the town of Abovyan (Kotayk region).
