Armenian Ambassador to the Netherlands Dzyunik Aghajanyan had today a working meeting with the Mayor of Almelo city, Jon Hermans-Vloedbeld.
According to a press release by the Foreign Ministry, the diplomat thanked the mayor for her attention to the Armenian community, highlighting the importance of educational and cultural programs. Aghajanyan promised that the embassy will assist in such efforts, noting that the Armenian community’s integration to the country’s society and the maintenance of the nation’s identity is a priority issue for them.
Hermans-Vloedbeld said that the Armenians are among the biggest ethnic groups in Almelo and expressed willingness to attend to their problems.
