The leader of the Armenian Democratic Party, Armen Sargsyan, has addressed the reports on the possible plans of political alliances ahead of the parliamentary election.
At a news conference on Wednesday, the politician said that the idea to create an alliance among the coalition Prosperous Armenia party (PAP), the opposition Armenian National Congress and Heritage could have been instructed by a geopolitical sponsor.
“The geopolitical sponsor has given an instruction but none of them are capable of implementing it. The Democratic Party has its own program, which is fundamental to us. If any party is able to accept our fundamental principles we will agree to cooperation. Europe is taking a turn to the left, which means the moods are going to change there as well,” he said.
