A symposium dedicated to the Armenia-Turkey relations will be organized in Erzurum, Turkey between May 2 and 4.
The discussion is expected to bring together 75 scholars, including 12 foreigners.
According to Erol Kurklcuolglu, the director of the Ataturk University’s Center for Armenian Research, new documents are going to be submitted at the meeting.
“Documents relating to both nations’ history are going to be submitted. [The symposium] will address the Armenians’ attitude to Turks in the Middle Ages or Fatih Sultan Mehmet’s initiative to move the Armenian Patriarchate from Bursa to Istanbul. The meeting will focus on the Armenia-Turkey relations, addressing their historical and scientific aspect,” he said.
