Azeris keep disinforming public of Khojalu events – Armenian diplomat

Armenia’s permanent representative to the United Nation’s, Karen Nazaryan, has sent a letter to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, expressing concerns over the Azerbaijani authorities’ attempts to disinform the public on the 1992 events in Khojalu.

“I regret to note that an Azerbaijani representative attempted yet another time to circulate misleading and false information on the 1992 tragic events of in the town of Khojalu. This delegation has on numerous occasions voiced anti-Armenian propaganda and false statements on behalf of Azerbaijani.

It would be quite to the point to recall the international community’s (including the European Court of Human Rights and numerous human rights organizations’) call for releasing those Azerbaijani journalists and human rights activists who questioned the Azerbaijani Government’s version of the Khojalu events,” reads the letter.  Read more...
