They Said, He Said: Another incident of improper behavior by an official alleged on Monday

In a verbal clash outside a church on the grounds of Khor Virap monastery Monday, Armenia's Head of Corruption and Organized Crime Department of the General Prosecutor's Office allegedly referred to a group of oppositional activists – including family related to a victim of the March 1, 2008 election violence — as "world-class whores".

Koryun Piloyan's office denied that the prosecutor said such a thing. "He does not use such words, and he is not a person who would act like that," an assistant told ArmeniaNow (Piloyan was not available). On a follow-up call, press secretary Sona Truzyan confirmed that Piloyan was at Khor Virap Monday with guests and that when approached by members of the (oppositional) Armenian National Congress, the prosecutor "responded appropriately".
