Turkey is attempting to pressure Armenia so that it will quit reparations claims related to the Armenian Genocide, a political analyst has said.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Giro Manoyan, the head of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Bureau’s Hay Dat and Political Affairs, said that this approach is found also in the Armenia-Turkey Protocols which is why Armenia should withdraw its signature from that document.
According to him, the Protocols are the very basis that the US President Barack Obama will point to as he will justify his decision not to have used the word “Genocide” in his April 24 commemorative speech this year.
