irman of Armenia’s parliament has said he believes that the discussions on the social networking website Facebook will contribute to making effective decisions.
According to a press release by Armenia’s National Assembly, Hovik Abrahamyan made the statement at a meeting with students in Yerevan.
Abrahamyan also said that he personally gets familiarized with the issues raised and opinions expressed in Facebook.
“Our goal is that the National Assembly be open to the public and transparent,” Abrahamyan has said, adding that the parliament regularly hosts representatives of schools, universities and NGOs, giving them a chance to get familiarized with the activities in the parliament.
Hovik Abrahamyan further said that he is ready to accept any reasonable proposal, including those expressed in the social network.
