opposition bloc has issued a statement in which it says the ruling authorities should resign over three recent blows Armenia has received due to their governance.
In the statement released on Monday, the Armenian National Congress (or HAK) said the first blow for Armenia is that the US suspended the Millennium Challenges Corporation projects in Armenia.
“With that project Armenia was among the fewest developing countries that received that assistance as encouragement for their reforms in administering democracy,” read the statement.
Further, it said that the second blow Armenia received is that the US State Department referred to Armenia in its 2010 country report of Human Rights Practices as an autocracy where basic human rights are being routinely violated.
