Plan On Turning Jermuk Resort Into Tourist Center To Be Submitted on October 15

Head of Tourism and Regional Economic Development Department at the RA Ministry of Economy Mekhak Apresyan said that the development plan of turning Jermuk resort into a tourist center will be submitted on October 15.

The Armenian government approved in 2008 the concept on turning the town of Vayots Dzor region into a tourist center. Besides, the strategy for Jermuk development in 2009-2012 was adopted in 2009, Apresyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

According to him, engineering decisions steaming from the strategy have been developed jointly with TigerDev Swiss company. Besides, the town's visual image has been created. It will be submitted on October 15. After it, investment programs will be developed and implemented by a management body established to this end. Spaniards already display interest towards the project. Besides, negotiations are held in various directions.
