Heritage party spokesman speaks of meeting with Armenian National Congress

Hovsep Khurshudyan, Spokesman for the Heritage party, does not know if Heritage party Chairman Raffi Hovannisian plans a meeting with Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Chairman of the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC), as part of political consultations. He personally does not see any obstacles to such a meeting. "We are ready for political consultations with all the political forces. We had a meeting with Serzh Sargsyan, and I do not see any reasons why we should not meet with other political forces," Mr Khurshudyan told journalists on Monday.Asked about Mr Hovannisian's meeting with Chairman of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), Mr Khurshudyan said that it was an agreement. He did not report any details except for discussions of the post-election crisis.Asked about the Heritage party's application to the Yerevan Municipality for preventing an ANC rally that had been announced earlier, especially since the Heritage party did not plan any rally in Freedom Square, Mr Khurshudyan said, "We had planned a march in commemoration of the March 1 victims."Asked about the Heritage leader's appeal to President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan for arriving at Freedom Square to hand in their resignations," Mr Khurshudyan said that it was an appeal to report back to voters.
