Decision 2013: Hovannisian waiting for Sargsyan in Liberty Square

Opposition Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian, who claims victory in the Monday presidential election, said he was ready to meet with the incumbent president, Serzh Sargsyan, to discuss the "transfer of power to the people."

Addressing thousands of his activists and supporters who had gathered in Yerevan's Liberty Square tonight Hovannisian said that he expected Sargsyan – who has been elected over Hovannisian by a vote of nearly 59 percent to 37 percent — to come to the square, where he be waiting for him.

"Tomorrow we will wait for Sargsyan until 2 pm and make the transition of power here in Liberty Square," said Hovannisian to rapturous applause of people in the square.
