Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian has again accused Azerbaijan of declining all peace initiatives advanced by international mediators to settle the protracted conflict in Karabakh, suggesting that Baku and the international community are speaking "different languages".
In an interview with the Austrian news agency, the top Armenian diplomat visiting Vienna said that Azerbaijan even rejects confidence building measures, such as strengthening the ceasefire, withdrawing snipers and creating mechanisms to investigate ceasefire violations.
"They have an illusion that with the help of revenues from petrol and natural gas they can buy everything: friends on the international arena and beneficial resolutions for them. Why the settlement process hasn't succeeded till now? Because the international community and Azerbaijan speak different languages," said Nalbandian in an extended interview.
