Ameriabank launches new branch in Yerevan

One of Armenia's dynamically developing banking institutions, Ameriabank, opened Wednesday a new branch in central Yerevan.
The new office, which is the tenth in number, is furnished with the necessary high-quality equipment to offer all the services of the bank, including those designed for Premium clients.Ameriabank CEO Artak Hanesyan said at the opening event that their strategy requires all branches, regardless of location, to meet the same standards as does the central headquarters.
"In terms of both equipment and exterior appearance the branches meet one and the same citeria. As for the services, they will be the same as those offered by the central office," he said.
The branch, which is in Yerevan's Sayat Nova street, is equipped with an online communication system to maintain contact with all the other offices of Ameriabank.
Hanesyan pointed out to a special area for deposit boxes as an advantage of the newly- opened branch.
The bank offers four types of deposit boxes, including an extra-large one. Their service terms will range from one to sixth months or one year. The deposit boxes in a special hall equipped with up-to-date security protection and fire alarm systems.
Head of Ameriabank's Retail Department Arman Barseghyan said they also have plans to upgrade the branch in Nagorno-Karabakh's capital, Stepanakert.
"We are trying to improve our presence on Armenia's territory in both quantitative and qualitative terms." he said, adding that they have 15 employees in the newly opened branch.
The Ameriabank CEO unveiled plans for launching four more branches this year, with two expected to operate in capital Yerevan.
