Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian held Norway's Magnus Carlsen to a draw with black pieces in Round 6 of the ongoing Mikhail Tal Memorial tournament in Moscow, Russia.
Aronian reportedly said after the game that he will use the day-off in the nine-round competition, June 15, "to analyze mistakes and get ready for the remaining three games."
Aronian has suffered two defeats at the tournament, including his Round 5 loss to current leader Alexander Morozevich from Russia.
The Armenian faces another Russian, Alexander Grischuk in the next round to be played on Saturday.
