Hetq reporter (photo, wearing red) remains in police custody six hours after being detained earlier today when Yerevan cops used force to break-up a mass sit-in protesting an electricity rate hike.
Ani Hovhannisyan, a Hetq reporter detained with Galstyan, has already been released.
Police told Galstyan that he was a participant in the protest and not a reporter covering the event.
At 1pm Galstyan's lawyer, Grisha Balasanyan, exited the Malatya Police Station and said that the police gave no reason for holding the reporter for more than six hours.
