At the third World University Weightlifting Championships in Eilat, Israel, Armenia's Aghasi Aghasyan (85 kg) on Thursday lifted a total of 350 kg to win a silver medal, with Russia's Artem Okulov coming first with a total of 357 kg result.
Meanwhile, Vahram Gevorgyan (85 kg) lifted 340 kg to finish 5th in the competition.
Earlier, Smbat Margaryan (56 kg) and Vanik Avetisyan (69 kg) won bronze medals, with Samvel Grigoryan (77 kg) winning silver.
Andranik Hovhannisyan and Hayk Hakobyan will also represent Armenia at the championships.
