Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan had an unscheduled meeting on the Syrian crisis in Indonesia on Thursday on the sidelines of Bali’s Democracy Forum, ANSAmed.info reports, citing Hurriyet.
The two leaders already held unexpected talks last month on the sidelines of an international summit in Baku.
Turkey has sided with Syria’s Sunni rebels while Iran supports the government of President Bashar al Assad. Ankara has recently launched the proposal to create a regional contact group with the participation of Turkey, Russia, Iran,or Egypt.
