Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow held talks on Thursday and decided in favor of organizing an Armenian-Turkmen business forum in Turkmenistan next year.At a meeting with journalists, the Armenian leader noted that the business forum is expected to facilitate the development of bilateral economic relations."I am sure the forum will give impetus to the development of our relations. We have paid great attention to economic issues and talked about how we can develop our relations during coming years. We have stressed greater potential for developing bilateral relations," President Serzh Sargsyan said.Armenia and Turkmenistan have cooperation agreements in a number of fields, and the Armenian leader considers them highly important for the development of Armenian and Turkmen economies. He singles out an agreement on air communication."The agreement is of high importance for tourism development and exchange of students, " President Serzh Sargsyan said.The Armenian and Turkmen leaders also discussed regional problems and the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process."We have stated Armenia's position: the problem must be resolved in a peaceful way, on the basis of international law," the Armenian president said.Mr Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow noted that the talk with his Armenian counterpart proved fruitful."We have discussed trade and economic issues, as well as cooperation in transport, communication and agricultural sectors. We propose organizing a large-scale Armenian-Turkmen business forum," he said.Days of Armenia will be organized in Turkmenistan in 2013.
