Zaruhi Postanjyan, Secretary of the Heritage parliamentary group, applied to the Armenian president and prime minister, calling on them to respect Armenia's law and put an end to the "illegal use of offices of government and local government bodies."On September 13, Mrs Postanjyan directed an inquiry to the premier concerning the following information:1. Which of the premises occupied by government or local government bodies were rented by – or placed at free disposal of – the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).2. Which of the premises occupied by government or local government bodies (as well as palaces of culture, etc..) are used for RPA's posters, flags, etc..The government's official response says that the RPA has premises in Yerevan (two offices), Talin and Tsaghkaovit (one office in each community), Dilijan (one office). The government's response also says that the RPA is not using any premises occupied by government or local government bodies fo r its posters, flags, etc.."An irrefutable fact, however, is that the RPA is illegally using government and local government bodies' premises, as well as public areas, on a large scale."On the basis of the foregoing, I demand that you immediately put an end to the violations. Otherwise, I will have to lodge a legal claim against the illegal activities of the party led by you."At the same time, I am ready to accompany you to the premises occupied by government bodies, as well as to the public areas, where the RPA, in cooperation with local officials, is carrying out illegal activities," the MP's letter says.
