ANC parliamentary group starts signature-gathering campaign

The Armenian National Congress (ANC) parliamentary group has started a collection of signatures in support of application to Armenia's Constitutional Court to find out the constitutional basis for the parliamentary minority's right to invite a special meeting of session of Armenia's parliament.The ANC parliamentary group proposed holding a special meeting of Armenia's parliament on November 21. The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) and Heritage groups joined the initiative.Draft amendments to Armenia's election law, state registration of population and criminal code were on the agenda.The meeting failed for lack of a quorum.
