Armenia's Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan paid a working visit to Syunik on Monday.Under agricultural assistance programs, the region received elite seeds, which enabled it to increase sown areas by 3,717 hectares in autumn and by 355 hectares in spring.During the 2011-2012 harvest period, Syunik farmers were able to purchase nitrogen fertilizers and diesel fuel at a low price.Accompanied by Syunik Governor Surik Khachatryan, Minister Karapetyan visited the fields in the Aghitu community.At the Sisian grain store Minister Karapetyan inspected the storage conditions of 280 tons of elite seeds imported from Russia.
