Vanadzor chemical plant set to resume production of fertilizers

The ministries of agriculture and energy & natural resources on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support the Vanadzor-Khimprom CJSC to resume production of chemical fertilizers.

The company has expressed its readiness to organize the production of carbamid with 46-percent nitrogen content, amonium sulphate with 20-20.5-percent nitrogen content and potassium-containing fertilizers, reports state-run news agency Armenpress.

Among the markets for Vanadzor-Khimprom products are Russia, countries South-East Asia, such as Singapore, India, Thailand, former Soviet states and a number of African countries.
