A signature collection campaign has started in change.org social action platform against Ruben Hayrapetyan, MP and head of the Armenian Football Federation (AFF), asking FIFA and UEFA to remove Hayrapetyan from his position of AFF chairman.
The open letter made a reference to the death of 33-year-old military doctor, father of two, Vahe Avetyan, who died after being brutally beaten at the Harsnakar restaurant, belonging to Hayrapetyan (member of Republican Party of Armenia). Hayrapetyan's bodyguards and the restaurant security severely beat four military doctors, including Avetyan, resulting in the latter's death.
