Defense Minister: Armenian peacekeepers to restart Kosovo mission

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan has announced that Armenian peacekeepers will restart their mission in Kosovo in July.

In an interview with the Hay Zinvor paper, the defense chief said the Armenian subdivision will serve within the U.S. battalion.

The Armenian peacekeepers already once were on a mission in Kosovo under the Greek command. In late 2011, the Greek side reduced their participation in the KFOR operation due to financial reasons and the Armenian peacekeeping unit was temporarily withdrawn from Kosovo.
