City Center Property to be bought by Eurnekian

The Government of Armenia has decided to sell property that was the site of the Ministry of Justice, which was destroyed by fire in 2008. The property – just off Republic Square in Yerevan — will be bought by the Tango company, owned by Argentinean businessman of Armenian origin Eduard Eurnekian.

The announced sale price is 300 million drams ($750,000). Tango has promised to build a new public facility in the area by 2015. Eurnekian owns Armenia International Airports, the concessionaire of Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport and Gyumri’s Shirak Airport.
