The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) issued a statement expressing its concern over Syrian Armenians' safety.The ANC is accusing Armenia's authorities of restricting Armenians' entry to the country."The developments in Syria were predictable. The Armenians in danger in Syria were expected to turn their eyes on Armenia.Armenia's authorities appear to be totally unprepared for this situation. Moreover, they are indirectly restricting Armenian refugees' entry to the country. A base step was a rise in ticket prices by Armavia airline. The Armenian Apostolic Church is not doing anything to support Syrian Armenians either, the ANC's statement says."The Armenian National Congress condemns the ruling regime's criminal and disgraceful way of action and demands effective implementation of measures, including free transportation and accommodation of refugees in Armenia," says the statement.
