Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, Parliament of Armenia, Artak Zakaryan, as well as a number of Committee members, held a meeting with Mr Jaap Werner, Director of Europe Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.Armenian Ambassador to the Netherlands Dzyunik Aghajanyan participated in the meeting.Mr Zakaryan spoke of Armenia's foreign policy and regional problems. He believes that a balanced policy can maintain regional stability and peaceful developments. The Armenian MP thanked the Dutch parliament for recognizing the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey in 2004.The meeting also discussed Armenian-Azerbaijani and Armenian-Turkish relations.The Dutch official stressed the importance of democratic parliamentary elections in Armenia.The Committee members exchanged views on the issues on the agenda.
