Armenian deputy foreign minister Ashot Hovakimyan has delivered a speech on Wednesday at the plenary sitting of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation (FSC).
According to the MFA press release, the Armenian deputy minister briefed on Armenia's approaches over the OSCE regional security issues, referred to the cooperation between Armenia and the OSCE Yerevan office.
The deputy minister elaborated on Armenia's approaches over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. He stressed that Armenia's position coincide with the statements of the presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries made in L'Aquilla, Muskoka, Deauville and Los Cabos.
Referring to the growth of incidents on the Armenia-Azerbaijani border, the deputy minister stressed the necessity of withdrawing snipers from the front line as well as creation of mechanism that will study the ceasefire violation on the line of contact.
Delegation from the EU, Russia, the USA and Ireland delivered speeches at the event.
The EU representative voiced assistance to the efforts of the Mink group co-chairs, reiterated the importance of establishing mechanisms for studying the border incidents.
The US, Russian and Irish delegations reiterated their position on exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
