Newly appointed Iranian ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Reis handed today his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
According to president's press office, President Sargsyan congratulated the ambassador on starting diplomatic mission in Armenia and voiced hope he will do the utmost to reinforce friendly relations between the two countries and boost cooperation in different spheres.
The ambassador said Iran rates high deepening of relations with Armenia and convinced the president in his readiness to promote ties between Armenia and Iran.
President Sargsyan and the Iranian ambassador discussed a number of political, economic, cultural cooperation issues and regional developments.
