Constitutional court rejects oppositionists=?UTF-8?B?4oCZIA==?=appeals to annul elections

The Constitutional Court of Armenia has turned down the appeals submitted by three candidates for lawmakers nominated in single-mandate constituencies to annul the results of the May 6 polls.

Six opposition candidates (four of them were backed by the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC)), nominated in single-mandate constituencies, appealed the results of the elections in their majoritarian election districts.

(The Constitutional Court has dismissed the appeals of non-party candidate Samvel Harutyunyan nominated in Syunik province, Manuel Gasparyan, head of the Democratic Way Party, part of the ANC bloc, and ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan, who has become a lawmaker anyway by the bloc's proportional list.)
