Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan called the ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan a threat to regional security and a challenge to the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process as he delivered a speech at the summit of the European People's Party (EPP) in Brussels on Thursday.
Sargsyan, whose Republican Party is a member of the EPP Group in the Council of Europe, said such provocations and provocations by the neighboring state aroused concerns.
The Armenian leader referred to the joint statement of the leaders of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries – the United States, Russia and France – on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict made early last week, stressing that Armenia continues to respect the principles of finding a settlement of the conflict based on the non-use of force, the right of nations to self-determination and territorial integrity.
