A statue to Blessed Pope John Paul II will be unveiled in the yard of Baku's Catholic Church on June 10, the Azerbaijani media reported.
Head of the Roman Catholic Church in Baku, Vladimir Fakete was quoted as saying that the sculpture, created by Italian masters, has been already transported to the Azerbaijani capital.
A delegation from Vatican is due to visit Baku to participate in the ceremony. The event will be also attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani Government, and clergymen.
