Armenian opposition leader=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=s speech ‘swan song=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=

ustify; “>Most members and supporters of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) are tired, and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech at the ANC’s last rally sounded more “a swan song.”

The political engineer Karen Kocharyan says that the ANC’s election campaign was largely conducted by two persons, Nikol Pashinyan and Armenia’s ex-premier Hrant Bagratyan.

“Nikol Pashinyan’s ‘30-second secret ballot revolution’ was the ANC’s best PR step. However, the ANC did not turn it into its central idea,” the expert said.

The ANC started ruining its reputation on March 17, when it entered into a dialogue with Armenia’s authorities. Later, during the pre-election period, it continued the dialogue by cooperating with the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP).
