The would-be son-in-law of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan was found dead in his car in the vicinities of the city’s Mother Armenia statue yesterday night.
The residents of the second largest city told photo reporter Gagik Shamshyan that the murdered, Karen Yesayan, had just returned from the United States for his engagement ceremony which was due today.
The police sources have confirmed the incident to Tert.am. Yesayan, 27, was reported missing on Thursday night after he left in an unknown direction in his Mercedes vehicle. The car with his dead body was found in one of the city’s districts at 9:00 pm local time. Yesayan reportedly died of gunshots. The police say they are still probing into the matter.
