The United Youth Organization of Glendale will this year commemorate the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide by holding a candle lighting ceremony in Glendale Concert Hall’s parking area.
The event will start at 7 pm on April 23.
The ceremony is expected to attract a large number of speakers, including politicians.
Armenians worldwide are this year commemorating the 97th anniversary of the perpetrated Genocide that claimed the lives of 1.5 million innocent people in the (including women and children) in the Ottoman Empire. Most of the Genocide survivors spread across the world, starting a new life away from their historical homeland.
