Georgia is planning to comple the process of withdrawing from all the agreements and treaties signed within the CIS format, the country’s deputy FM has said.
“We are not a CIS member state and do not need extra obligations,” Nino Kalandadze said, commenting on the country’s recent decision to suspend collaboration with the intergovernmental television and radio corproration Mir.
Georgia started the process of withdrawing from the Commonwealth following the 2008 war Russian-Georgian war over the disputed regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
