Armenia’s first president and leader of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), Levon Ter-Petrosyan has called upon the population of Vardenik village to vote in their favor in the coming parliament polls.
Ter-Petrosyan visited the village as part of the opposition alliance’s pre-election campaign. But before start of the meeting, the residents of Vardenik voiced their village’s problems, complaining that the lands remain unattended, with no one willing to work on them to produce harvest.
Ter-Petrosyan told the villagers that the potato harvest in the country was two or three times higher when he was running for president, and added that the lands later passed from hand to had.
