Armenia-born boxer Arthur Abraham says he is in Armenia on a "well-earned" rest after another victory scored in the professional ring late last month.
On March 31, Germany-based former IBF middleweight champion and Super Six contestant Abraham (34-3, 27 KOs) won a 12-round unanimous decision over Piotr Wilczewski (30-3, 10 KOs) from Poland.
Meeting with Armenian media in Yerevan on Tuesday Abraham said that he would not break the tradition of coming to Armenia after each victory "to get some rest and inspiration" in his homeland.
"I love Armenia very much, and I do everything to be able to spend at least a few weeks here," said the Berlin-based 32-year-old prizefighter, who made his first steps in sport in Yerevan. Abraham stressed that he particularly needed some rest now after a grueling fight against the Pole.
