le=”text-align: justify; “>Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited on Thursday Boarding School #141 in Yerevan’s Shengavit community.
The Armenian president was shown round the premises and got acquainted with the renovation process. The children met the president with songs and dances.
Built in 1975, the building was in a poor condition, Gayane Soghomonyan, Head of Education Department, Yerevan Municipality, told journalists.
“In 2010, the boarding school was placed at the Yerevan Municipality’s disposal. We spared no efforts to renovate it. This is the only boarding school for orphans and children from socially vulnerable families,” Soghomonyan said.
Under a program of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, the building was completely repaired and furnished.
