le=”text-align: justify; “>Aram Sargsyan, Chairman of the Republic Party, proposes turning the forthcoming parliamentary elections into presidential elections.
“The coming parliamentary elections are presidential elections,” he stated at a rally of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) in Yerevan, on Thursday. This is the only way of putting an end to a number of monopolies in Armenia, he added.
He pointed out three monopolies. The first is the power monopoly. “In this country Serzh Sargsyan is the only person to decide on what should be done, who should be congratulated and the presentation of whose book should be attended.”
He also spoke of political and economic monopolies. “Official data say that about 130,000 people have left Armenia over the past few years,” Aram Sargsyan said.
