Before the procession, Nikol Pashinyan, Editor of the Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Times) newspaper, informed the participants that the next rally is scheduled for March 30.
Led by the ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the demonstrators marched to Moscow Square, near the monument to Alexander Myasnikyan, where tragic events that claimed ten lives occurred on March 1, 2008. Armen Martirosyan, an MP of the Heritage party, joined the procession.
The participants intend to lay flowers at the pedestal in commemoration of the March 1 victims.
