le=”text-align: justify; “>The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will have an adequate list, without, however, including businessmen in it.
At his press conference on Monday, Hovhannes Sahakyan, an MP of the RPA, said that “the list will include new people, and, after the party’s congress, when discussions are over, it will be available for everyone to draw conclusions.”
With respect to the RPA businessmen-candidates from single-member constituencies, Sahakyan noted that it is allowed by Armenia’s Constitution. “Since the businessmen have been members of our team for a long period, it is natural that the RPA should support them,” he said.
Sahakyan forecasts a higher-quality parliament, with MPs elected “on an ideological basis,” which means a “political upgrade.”
