Armenia=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=s leaders must be called to account - oppositionist

le=”text-align: justify; “>At a Thursday rally of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), Editor of the Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Times) newspaper Nikol Pashinyan named the persons he considers guilty of the March 1, 2008 tragedy.

According to him, the severest punishment must be imposed on Armenia’s ex-president Robert Kocharyan, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, ex-speaker of Armenia’s parliament Hovik Abrahamyan, Armenia’s Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan.

According to Pashinyan, it is a legal and constitutional necessary rather than political reprisals. All people are equal before law and must be held responsible regardless of their being pro-government or opposition political figures.
