le=”text-align: justify; “>An Armenian parliamentary delegation headed by Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, which is on a working visit to Lithuania, held a meeting on Thursday with Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Evaldas Ignatavičius.
The sides stressed the importance of consolidating bilateral relations and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.
With respect to the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia, the Armenian delegation re-affirmed the authorities’ political will to hold the elections in conformity with democratic standards. Vice-Speaker Sharmazanov stressed Lithuania’s important role and experience in establishing a democratic system of values. That country can assist Armenia in its integration into Europe, he said.
