Armenian opposition rep sure of success

le=”text-align: justify; “>The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) will have 35 to 40 seats in Armenia’s parliament, the ANC member Gurgen Yeghiazaryan told Tert.am.

He commented on a statement made by Tigran Karapetyan, Chairman of the People’s Party. The latter said that the ANC would “make a humiliating entry into Armenia’s parliament.” Yeghiazaryan does not advise taking Karapetyan’s statement seriously.

“Tigran Karapetyan does not say anything new. He was told to say it, what’s the problem?” Yeghiazaryan said.

The “half-starved” people cannot vote for the incumbent authorities. “Why should half-starved people go and vote for the Republican Party of Armenia after this party has failed to implement its program?” Yeghiazaryan asked.
