The Armenian Communist Party does not get any funding from Russia, its leader has said.
At a news conference on Friday, Ruben Tovmasyan dismissed the reports that they get any money from Russia, but said the achievements of the Russian colleagues in is an encouraging factor for the local communists.
Tovmasyan, who was in Russia while the country was holding a presidential election, said the Communist party is highly respected there, especially by the youth.
“We are enthusiastic about the Russian Communists’ success which was more evident during the parliamentary polls. As for the presidential election, the entire state machine was working in favor of Putin, and you all know the result,” he said.
