Armenia extends condolences to Belgium on Swiss coach crash

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has sent a telegram to King Albert II of Belgium extending his condolences on the recent coach crash in Switzerland that took the lives of dozens of Belgian nationals, including many children.

Twenty-eight Belgians, including 22 children, were killed on Tuesday when a coach, carrying 52 people back to Belgium following a skiing trip in Switzerland, struck a wall head-on in a tunnel in the town of Sierre.

"I am deeply shocked by the news of this tragedy and express my condolences to You, the friendly people of Belgium and support to all grief-stricken hearts mourning this irreparable loss," Sargsyan said in the message, according to his press office.
