Expounding on Taxes: Revenues Committee official says new changes to stimulate medium-sized business

A number of tax law amendments that went into effect at the beginning of this year are believed to prove beneficial to medium-sized entrepreneurship in terms of discouraging large companies from concentrating businesses in their hands.

Speaking at a Tuesday discussion dealing with some of the latest tax legislation changes, deputy head of the Armenian State Revenues Committee Armen Alaverdyan said the changes in question apply to large importing companies and local manufacturers that have a monthly amount of business exceeding 100 million drams (about $260,000) and are also engaged in the sales of their imported or produced goods.
